Brief description

EndNote is a highly sophisticated referencing tool that can perform a wide range of referencing tasks. Advanced users are able to customise the software to suit their requirements for managing research as well as referencing.

With EndNote, you create your own database of references, usually by downloading records from  You can enter references yourself or import them from a database. You can then create a bibliography for your thesis, assignment or journal article in the citation style you require.

Availability

The lastest version of EndNote for Windows and Mac is available for download and installation on your own computer. EndNote is also installed on most computers in the Library.

We recommend downloading the installation file using a wired connection rather than wifi. Downloading wirelessly can result in corruption of the installation file.

Training and support

The UQ Library runs training classes on EndNote and is able to provide assistance if you encounter problems.

The Library has a phone service (07) 33656063, Monday - Friday, 9am - 4.00pm and an email service for more detailed help enquiries about EndNote. 

The email and phone services are not available on weekends or public holidays. If you send an email or leave a message, you will be contacted as soon as the service is next available.
