Tracking the latest research on your topic

    By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

    • Use a number of tools to identify and access current information and recent publications
    • Understand what alerting services are, why they are used, and how to use them
    • Search and retrieve full text articles using the SwetsWise Database
    • Use the SwetsWise alerting service function to create table of contents alerts for specific journal titles and SDI (keyword) alerts on a subject or topic

Find out how to access electronic journals from your office or home. Learn how to set up alerting services to help you track the latest research in your field.

    By the end of this session participants will be able to:

    • Find electronic journals through a search on the library catalogue
    • Interpret the catalogue record to find out which years are available and how many concurrent users are allowed
    • Find usernames or passwords if required
    • Connect to the e-journals from office or home computers
