EndNote Basics

This is a 3 hour session covering the same content as Part 1 and Part 2 sessions

  • Tuesday 5 February: 9.30am-12.30pm
  • Tuesday 19 March: 9.30am-12.30pm

EndNote is software that assists academic writers and researchers keep track of bibliographic references and generating bibliographies for books and papers.

During these workshops you will learn how to:

  • Set up a new reference library
  • Input references manually
  • Import references from databases using filters
  • Search and sort an EndNote library
  • Produce a bibliography
  • Use "Cite While You Write" to add intext citations in a paper

EndNote Part 1 (Getting started with EndNote)

  • Thursday 21 Feb 2:30 – 4:00 pm
EndNote is software that assists academic writers and researchers keep track of bibliographic references and generating bibliographies for books and papers.

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

  • Set up a newEndnote library (or database) of references
  • Input references to a library manually
  • Import and Export references from databases into EndNote

EndNote Part 2 (Working with Word)
Note: this class will use Word 2007 and EndNote X1 - some processes may be different in earlier versions.
