New Courses and/or programs
New Courses and/or programs
Proposals for all new and revised courses and programs are required to include evidence of consultation with the Library. Direct consultation concerning resource implications should occur with the University Librarian (PPL 3.20.01).
Please contact your Librarian at least two weeks before the documentation is required for submission. This allows sufficient time to assess the ability of the Library to fully support new or revised courses and programs.
What you need to do
- Contact your Librarian to arrange for evidence of consultation (this takes the form of a letter from the University Librarian).
- Send your Librarian a copy of the submission, that is, Form 11 - New Course Submission, Form 2 - New field/s in existing coursework programs or Form 1 - New Coursework Program.
- It is useful to send a list of required or suggested resources or reading lists. Your Librarian will also work with you in identifying additional resources and library services that may be required.
- A letter from the University Librarian, regarding the impact on Library resources and services, will be forwarded to the relevant Faculty Director of Studies. You will also receive a copy of the letter.
For more information, contact your Librarian.
