Can I make a booking?
DVDs and Videos can be booked for:
- lectures and tutorials by academics and tutors
- screening in lecture rooms via the Central Video Replay System
- tutorial presentations (4 hour loan)
- obtaining multimedia material located at other UQ campuses for teaching
How do I make a booking?
Bookings can be made:

By completing the Online booking form

In person at the Social Sciences and Humanities Library Loans and High Use desk, by completing a yellow booking form

By email avsbook@library.uq.edu.au. If screening in a CVRS equipped lecture room, email both avsbook@library.uq.edu.au;cvrsbookings@uq.edu.au
What booking information do I need to provide?
To ensure that your booking is successfully processed in time for the screening the Multimedia Service requires a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to screening and the following information:
- Name; Library Id (24067.....); email address; telephone number; school name; course code
- Title of DVD/VHS recording; call number; screening date and time (start and end); lecture building and room number
- Indicate if DVD/VHS recording is to be sent to CVRS or picked up at the Social Sciences and Humanities Loans and High Use Desk.
Bookings for mutlimedia items can be made up to 6 months in advance. The
earlier bookings are made the better.
Course related multimedia items can also be added to the 2 hour Kept-at-desk
collection to ensure equitable access by all students. Contact your Teaching
and Learning Librarian for further assistance.
