SPRING into Wiley Online Library

To help students and researchers familiarise themselves with the features of Wiley Online Library, the publisher is running an online quiz.

The quiz is open to all in the Asia-Pacific region, with the following prizes:

Findings of the International Journal Use and Reading Patterns Survey

Professor Carol Tenopir will visit The University of Queensland to present her report on the Journal Use and Reading Patterns Survey, conducted in 2012.

The Survey asked questions about the reading of scholarly articles from both print and electronic sources by academic staff and undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The University of Queensland was selected as one of two Australian universities to participate in the study. The results of the study will contribute to international research on the reading of scholarly journal articles.

Gatton Recreational Reading Collection

Now that exams are over, why not borrow some fiction to read over the holidays?

The Gatton recreational reading collection has novels and popular magazines. It is jointly funded by the library, the Gatton Halls of Residence and the Gatton Campus. The usual loan periods and quantities apply.

If you're keeping any items for the holidays, remember to renew them before they're due. You can renew your books online, through your 'My Library' record on the library's homepage - www.library.uq.edu.au.

Discovering Research. Connecting Research. 2012

WileySurvey.gif Wiley Online Library is currently conducting an online quiz, with 36 prizes on offer.

The aim is to make people aware of their alerts and social media sharing tools to network with peers and stay up-to-date with the latest research.

Future Researchers

As part of next week's Research Week events, a Future Researchers day is being held at the St Lucia campus. It's open to anyone interested in doing Research Higher Degree studies.

UQ Faculties and Institutes will be running information sessions detailing projects, career prospects and upcoming research opportunities. You can also chat to RHD students and find out about scholarships.

Library Survey and Library Excellence Awards

The library is conducting an online library survey. If you enter the draw, an Apple iPad or Co-op Bookshop vouchers ($250 or $150) can be won. We're seeking feedback about any of the library facilities and services that you use, in any of the branches or online. To start the survey, click here - http://www.library.uq.edu.au/survey. This runs until the 21st of September.
