Australia is looking to establish national breastfeeding indicators. This report outlines the folllowing indicators that were proposed at a national consenus workshop in Dec 2010:

The Australian government outlines in this 29 July 2011 report headline indicators that will be used to report on Australian children's health, devlopment and wellbeing.</p

"The supply of nurses increased by 6.2% between 2005 and 2009, from 1,040 full time equivalent (FTE) nurses per 100,000 population to 1,105 FTE nurses based on a 38-hour week.

This document "focuses on what works to overcome the problems rather than on outlining the nature or extent of the problems". Main findings on what works are:

"...The review concluded that evidence is currently at an early stage and as such, naltrexone implants
remain an experimental product and should only be used within a research setting."

Overall, adverse events occurred in one-third of hospital admissions. Reliance on voluntary reporting and the Patient Safety Indicators could produce misleading conclusions about the current safety of care in the US health care system and misdirect efforts to improve patient safety."
