book:logic and AustESE Workshop

The book:logic series of symposia was established in 2010 to bring together postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows, independent researchers and academics whose work involves aspects of textual studies: the scholarly editing of literary works and historical documents, the study of versions of works, editorial theory, physical bibliography, codicology and history of the book.

The 2013 Symposium will meet at UQ on Friday 4 October.

Checking and Updating your Author Profile in Scopus

In Scopus, each author is assigned a unique number, the Scopus Author Identifier that allows publications by the same author to be grouped together. However, being a mere computer algorithm, sometimes not all your publications will be listed under the one unique author profile. To fix this you can request Scopus to merge all your publications into the one author profile.

Friends of Fryer event: Welcome to Normal

UQ Library and the Friends of Fryer hosted National Year of Reading Ambassador Nick Earls on 8 August.

Our new University Librarian, American Robert Gerrity opened the event, mentioning Earls's new book Welcome to Normal as a timely supplement to his current list of must-read Australian literature.
