We're in the top ten

UQ's publications repository, UQ eSpace, is number 10 in the world, according to the Ranking of World's Repositories. The ranking service has a clear aim - to support free access to scientific publications and other academic material in an electronic form.

Off the charts

The Ranking of World's Repositories service has a clear aim - to support Open Access initiatives and, therefore, free access to scientific publications and other academic material in an electronic form. Web indicators are used to measure the global visibility and impact of scientific repositories.

Search in one go

UK universities and other research institutions have posted a lot of academic, educational and research information in a range of systems similar to our own UQ eSpace repository. A search tool has now been developed to make this material more accessible. The tool runs a federated search across the more than 130 repositories included.

Putting it out there

Under the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, Australian researchers are now expected to make their research data available for sharing. One way to do that is to deposit the data in a long term repository. This international list of data repositories provides some of the available services for researchers to use.
