We are very pleased to announce that the draft UQ Open Access Policy for Research Outputs, which has been authored and championed by the Library, has passed another procedural milestone by getting Academic Board approval. Assuming approval by the Senate, it will go into effect on 1 January 2014. The policy, which applies to all UQ research publications, is based on the ARC and NHMRC policies already in effect.

Until recently, all collections belonging to Fryer Library have been stored in the same building as the library. Increasing space problems mean that some items have been moved out of the building, and now need to be requested in advance of a visit to Fryer Library.

In early 2013, the Fryer thesis collection is on the move to a warehouse space. This move will bring the whole of the Fryer thesis collection back together in one storage area.

Access to all theses will be unavailable until at least the week beginning 7 January, to allow the movers access to the collection.
