Journal Articles

For recent information, journal articles are often the best sources. Looking through individual journals in the hope of finding relevant material is time-consuming. It is better to use the databases to find articles on your topic.

Journal Articles: 

Academic Research Library at Proquest

The Academic Research Library includes journals, magazines and newspapers on a broad range of general reference subjects including arts, business, humanities, social sciences, and the sciences. Includes two subsets: Academic research newspapers (including the New York Times and the Wall Street journal) and Academic research periodicals.

APA-FT (Australian Public Affairs)

APA-FT is an indexing and full text database that provides Internet access to journal articles from published material on the social sciences and humanities.

Social Services Abstracts

Social Services Abstracts provides bibliographic coverage of current research focused on social work, human services, and related areas, including social welfare, social policy, and community development.

Scopus

Scopus is a multidisciplinary abstract & citation database of research literature & quality web sources. Subject coverage includes chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, life and health sciences, psychology, economics, social sciences, biological and agricultural sciences.

Taylor & Francis Online

Taylor & Francis Online hosts journals, ebooks, reference works and abstracts databases from Taylor & Francis, Routledge, Informa Healthcare and Psychology Press. Subject coverage includes development studies, health and social care, and the social sciences.

MAIS (Multicultural Australia and Immigration Studies)
