For recent information, journal articles are often the best sources. Looking through individual journals in the hope of finding relevant material is time-consuming. It is better to use the databases to find articles on your topic.
APA-FT (Australian Public Affairs)
APA-FT is an indexing and full text database that provides internet access to journal articles from published material on the social sciences and humanities.
PAIS International (Public Affairs Information Service)
PAIS International collects policy oriented literature on a diverse range of subjects, including: economics, finance, law, education, the military, political science, public administration, international law and relations, the environment, demography, public health, science and technology.
ProQuest Social Science Journals
Links to full text journals in the areas of social science and humanities. Formerly known as Social Sciences Plus text. Subjects include gerontology, economics, international relations, minority studies and urban studies.
Scopus is a multidisciplinary abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources. Subject coverage includes chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, life and health sciences, psychology, economics, social sciences, and biological and agricultural sciences.

This site provides online access to a series of monographs produced on an irregular basis. The series enables the department to disseminate information, data and analysis that stem from major research projects and evaluations.
Social Services Abstracts provides bibliographic coverage of current research focused on social work, human services, and related areas, including social welfare, social policy, and community development.
Web of Science provides access to current and retrospective multidisciplinary information from high impact research journals. Web of Science also provides a unique search method, cited reference searching.
