Journal Articles

For recent information, journal articles are often the best sources. Looking through individual journals in the hope of finding relevant material is time-consuming. It is better to use the databases to find articles on your topic.

Journal Articles: 

ProQuest Education Journals - this resource incorporates every education & education-related title in the ProQuest databases - ProQuest Education Plus, ProQuest Professional Education, ProQuest Research Library & includes indexing & abstracts from H.W. Wilson's Education Abstracts.

AustLit - indexes & describes Australian literature. It provides authoritative information on hundreds of thousands of creative & critical Australian literature works relating to Australian authors & literary organisations.

The Source - indexes literature for children: picture books, poetry (including full text of many poems), award-winning books, and, under preparation, indexes to short stories & drama. Includes literature from Australia, New Zealand, the UK & the US, as well as some biographical material.

MLA International Bibliography - Indexes materials on modern language, literature, linguistics, & folklore. Covering literary & language scholarships. It provides access to journals and series published worldwide, monographs, working papers, proceedings & bibliographies.

Book Review Index Plus - A comprehensive online guide to book reviews that includes review citations from thousands of publications, with linking to full-text reviews.

A+Education - access to Australian based educational journals & other resources.

Australia New Zealand reference centre - combines Australia and New Zealand specific magazines, newspapers & newswires, reference books, and company information to create a collection of regional full text content.

ERIC (Educational Resources Information Centre) - provide extensive access to educational-related literature.

Literature online - works of English and American poetry, drama & prose plus biographies, bibliographies & key secondary sources. Criticism & reference resources include KnowledgeNotes; Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature (1920-) and articles from literature journals.
