The ARTstor Digital Library is a searchable database of digital images and associated data. Users can search, view, download, organise and share images.

Picture Australia is an Internet based service that allows many significant online pictorial collections to be searched at the same time. When a search is conducted on Picture Australia, thumbnail images are retrieved from participating institutions on the fly and inserted into search results.

Bridgeman Image Library

With images from over 8,000 collections and more than 29,000 artists, the Bridgeman Image Library represents international museums, galleries and artists by providing a central source of fine art for image users.

Artsource Images
ArtSource is a gathering point for networked resources on Art and Architecture. The content is diverse and includes pointers to resources around the net as well as original materials submitted by librarians, artists, and art historians. This site is intended to be selective, rather than comprehensive.

Journal Articles

For recent information, journal articles are often the best sources. Looking through individual journals in the hope of finding relevant material is time-consuming. It is better to use the databases to find articles on your topic.
