Membership Summary
Undergraduate students
  • Currently enrolled in a UQ accredited program - automatic Library membership
  • You must present your UQ student card on all occasions when borrowing
  • Use your UQ username and password to access Library computers and online services
Coursework postgraduate students
  • Currently enrolled in a UQ accredited program - automatic Library membership
  • You must present your UQ student card on all occasions when borrowing
  • Use your UQ username and password to access Library computers and online services
Research students
  • Currently enrolled in a UQ accredited program - automatic Library membership
  • You must present your UQ student card on all occasions when borrowing
  • Use your UQ username and password to access Library computers and online services
External and remote students
  • Fully enrolled externally or remotely; mixed or flexible mode; on placement for more than 2 weeks - automatic Library membership
  • You must present your UQ student card on all occasions when borrowing
  • Use your UQ username and password to access Library computers and online services
ICTE students

All students currently enrolled in a UQ-ICTE course are eligible to register for Library membership. To register complete and submit the application form.
UQ staff
  • Academic, research and general staff; adjunct, clinical title and honorary appointments - automatic Library membership
  • You must present your UQ student card on all occasions when borrowing
  • Use your UQ username and password to access Library computers and online services
Herston, Mater and PAH staff

Hospital Staff based at Herston, Mater and PAH may

  • Apply for Library membership
  • Renew Library membership
Secondary school students Year 11 or 12 students from a school that is a member of the UQL Cyberschool Community may apply for borrowing services
UQ alumni

New graduates are eligible for one year of free membership. To register complete and submit the application for new graduates form

All other graduates should complete the application for alumni membership form
Rural Clinical School Hospital Staff (non-UQ) Non-UQ RCS Hospital staff at Rockhampton, Toowoomba and Bundaberg. To register complete the application form
Community Higher degree candidates; deferring postgraduates;UQ students enrolled in non-accredited courses; retired staff; visiting academics; Alumni Friends of UQ; reciprocal borrowers; general public are eligible to apply. To register submit the appropriate application form
