About the UQL Cyberschool

Welcome to UQL Cyberschool

UQL Cyberschool is a program run by The University of Queensland Library for secondary schools. It aims to enhance student learning and discovery by increasing school access to scholarly information and developing information literacy and lifelong learning skills; to ease the transition from school to university by familiarising students with university library services and resources; and to engage with secondary school teachers and library staff to facilitate access for school students to scholarly information and to share information with the UQL Cyberschool Community.

UQL Cyberschool can help schools by:
  • Negotiating discounted subscriptions to databases on behalf of schools, to extend library collections for students
  • Providing access to free and high-quality information resources available through the UQL Cyberschool website
  • Extending access to the collections of The University of Queensland Library through its borrowing program for senior school students
  • Providing training for school teachers, teacher-librarians and students
  • Introducing school students to the UQ Library through tours and guidance in the use of relevant information resources
  • Providing advice, support and solutions to technical problems
  • Professional development activities for school teachers and teacher librarians (e.g. training, updates and seminars)
