How do I keep track of and reference all my sources?
  • EndNote referencing software is available for download by UQ staff and students. EndNote is recommended for new research students to manage citations and create bibliographies.
  • EndNote workshops are available throughout the year.

What research data management advice is available?
  • The Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research stresses the importance of good stewardship of research data. Fact sheets covering all areas of research data management are available.
  • Contact your librarian for help you with creating a data management plan, data citation, making your data discoverable and data storage locations.

What is UQ eSpace?
  • UQ eSpace is the University of Queensland's institutional repository containing the research output of UQ researchers including UQ Research Higher Degree Theses. It also contains open access publications and other digitised materials created by the University. UQ eSpace is indexed by Google Scholar.
What tools are available to measure research impact and output?
  • UQ subscribes to citation databases such as: Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar
  • Your librarian (contact details at the end of this page) can help with preparing citation metrics for grant proposals and promotions
