EndNote is probably the most sophisticated referencing product available today. It can perform a wide range of referencing tasks, and there are extensive possibilities for the advanced user to customise the software to individual needs.
With EndNote software, you can create a personalised database of references. You can enter references yourself or import them from a database. You can then create a bibliography for your thesis, assignment or journal article in the citation style you require.
EndNote must be installed on your own computer (Windows or Macintosh). The software is available from the UQ Library as a download. Only the latest version of EndNote for both Windows and Macintosh is offered for download. EndNote is installed and can be used on most computers in the Library.
Downloading EndNote software
We recommend downloading the installation file using a wired connection rather than wireless. Downloading wirelessly has often resulted in corruption of the installation.
Training and support
The UQ Library runs training classes on EndNote and is able to provide assistance if you encounter problems.
The Library has a phone service (07) 33656063, Monday - Friday, 9am - 4.00pm and an email service for more detailed help enquiries about EndNote.
The email and phone services are not available on weekends or public holidays. If you send an email or leave a message, you will be contacted as soon as the service is next available.
