Author Guidelines
This journal adheres to the bibliographic and reserach paper formatting requirements of the Australian Journal of Linguistics, which is a variant of the 'Harvard' (5/6) style. Spelling can vary according to national usage, but should be internally consistent. Papers should be thoroughly checked and proof-read before submission, both by the author and a critical editorial friend.
Footnotes (and not Endnotes) are to be used and consecutively numbered.
Font to be used is Times New Roman size 12 in the text and size 10 in the footnotes.

Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- When available, the URLs to access references online are provided, including those for open access versions of the reference. The URLs are ready to click (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca).
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
