    A digital archive, created by the Brown University Library's Center for Digital Initiative.

  • GeoSearch News
    Allows users to find news by clicking locations on an interactive map.

  • Ibiblio
    A "collections of collections" with links to sites in arts and recreation, geography, history, natural science, and philosophy, along with other subjects.

  • Open Science Directory
    The Directory provides free access to approximately 13,000 scientific journals, including open access journals and sources such as BioMed Central and PubMed Central.

  • ScienceWatch.com
    A free, open web resource for science metrics and analysis from Thomson Scientific.

  • The Visual Dictionary
    The site provides annotated images that identify each part of a given item, such as a car or a musical instrument.

    Online graphical dictionary.

  • WikiPatents
    The WikiPatents Community contributes to the US patent system by reviewing issued patents and pending patent applications.

  • writewith
    Shared writing tool for groups.

  • A Database
    An open-source research engine and digital archive for contemporary visual culture.

  • Aluka
    An international, collaborative initiative to build and maintain a digital library of scholarly resources from and about Africa.

  • Architecture Media
    Architecture Media titles include: Architecture Australia; Houses; Houses Style; Architectural Product News; Artichoke; Landscape Architecture Australia; and Selector.com Much of the content is freely available online.

  • Global Climate Change: Economics, Science, and Policy
    An open course offered by MIT's Sloan School of Management.

  • IGLOO
    An Open Access repository of freely available resources and documents gathered worldwide by the Centre for International Governance Innovation.

  • Keotag
    A search tool that can search for tags across 14 different sites such as Delicious and Newsvine.

  • Kosovo: Guardian Special Report
    Information and thoughtful commentary on this country after its declaration of independence from Serbia.

  • Listing of educational widgets
    A gallery of widgets, web services, and web applications of interest to educators.

  • National Geographic: History
    The National Geographic Society's history site has video clips, short interviews, and interactive maps, and is updated frequently.

  • Peer Review in Scholarly Journals - perspective of the scholarly community: an international study
    The aim of this research is to measure the attitudes and behaviour of the academic community with regard to peer review.

    An international network of citizens' groups concerned with the "fulfillment of internationally agreed commitments on poverty eradication and equality."
