Branch Libraries
Most branch libraries have a web page which gives details of the library and its services.
Click on the library abbreviation in the Location box of the item display for more information about the relevant branch library.
Collections
Each branch library will have a number of separate collections of its items. Most items will be housed in the General collection (also called the Octavo collection). This collection includes items no more than 27 cm in height and is not distinguished by a collection code. All other collections will have a code to indicate where items in that collection should be located.
Some collections are common to all branch libraries and each branch library will have some which are unique to that library. These collections will be shelved separately in each branch. For branch specific collections, see the branch library.

Loan Characteristics
A standard loan period is not distinguished in the Access in-library box. Standard loan periods are dependant on your borrower category and in some instances on the type of item being borrowed. For more information on borrowing, see Borrowing Guides.
Other loan periods will be indicated after the location and collection for the item, e.g. 7 day, 3 day.
Some locations will be followed by Ask at Desk. This usually means the items at that location are not readily available, and need to be either requested through the library system or retrieved by library staff.
