The Rural Clinical School Library in Rockhampton is located in the Health Sciences Library, Demountable 3, Canning Street, Rockhampton. The service provides resources and support to the teaching, learning and research needs of UQ staff and students in the Faculty of Health Sciences in the region.

The Rockhampton Hospital Health Sciences Library is located in the Health Sciences Library, Demountable 3, Canning Street, Rockhampton.
Clients may access the collection, including books, videos and multimedia CDs. Computer access to UQ students and staff is provided to the library catalogue, databases and the internet, word processing, email and computer assisted learning packages.

The Library is open from 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. After-hours access is available. Please contact Library staff for more information.

The returns trolley is located next to the Library Helpdesk and an After-hours Returns chute is available. This is located near the main entrance.

Rockhampton Hospital Health Sciences Library provides 2 computers and 3 laptop ports for accessing the Library website including the catalogue, databases, and the internet. Wireless access, a printer and a scanner are also available.
The Rockhampton Hospital Health Sciences Library is accessible by wheel-chair.
Small exhibitions and displays can be arranged through the RCS Liaison Librarian.

The Health Sciences Library is a co-located library service with collections maintained respectively by the University of Queensland Library and Queensland Health. Over 2000 items are held in the UQ Rockhampton collection. The collection covers all medical areas of relevance to third and fourth year MBBS students, including: general medicine, genetics, anatomy, pathology, imaging, psychiatry, anaesthesia, orthopaedics, gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatrics, dermatology and pharmacology, medical law and rural health. The Queensland Health Library collection consists of more than 1500 items, including 11 hard copy journal subscriptions held on site. This collection is available to UQ students.
Additional hardcopy information resources are available from the other 13 branch libraries of the University of Queensland Library via the document delivery service.

Members of the University of Queensland Library may suggest items to be added to the Library's collection.
Schools and Centres may also contact their Liaison Librarian, to make a suggestion for purchase.
New resources are displayed throughout the Library.

Enquiries about loans, problems with library records and requests for items held at another campus library can be made with the RCS Liaison Librarian. Held items and items requested from the warehouse or other can be collected from the RCS Liaison Librarian.

The two computers are linked to a printer and scanner.
All copying is subject to copyright restrictions.
A video player and a DVD player are available for viewing teaching and learning resources. Usage of equipment is on an availability basis.
Television programs useful for teaching, learning and research are copied and placed into the Library's collection. The Library also works closely with the Central Video Replay Service (CVRS).
