Session Details:
The residential will take place 29 November to 2 December, 2011. The venue will be Cromwell College www.cromwell.uq.edu.au on the UQ St Lucia campus in Brisbane. The approximate cost will be $1000AUD per person for three-day attendance including accommodation, full catering and facilities. Click here to view the program for the seminar.
Internet access at Cromwell College will be available at a cost of $9.95 per person for 350 megabytes worth of download. Wireless can be accessed from the Chapel, Dining Room and Quad and there is cabled access in rooms and break out areas. It is necessary to bring along photo ID to purchase an Internet account for $9.95 from the Cromwell College office during business hours of 8.30am – 4.30pm. Eduroam access is available in the wireless areas at Cromwell College. Those with Eduroam accounts will not need to purchase an Internet account.

Biography:
Connie Schardt is the Associate Director for Public Services at the Medical Center Library, Duke University. Primary responsibilities are to promote and support EBM in clinical, research and educational settings. This involves developing an EBM curriculum and presenting instructional sessions for faculty, residents, and students. In addition Ms. Schardt has developed the content for Introduction to Evidence-based Medicine, a web-based tutorial. As adjunct faculty at the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Ms. Schardt teaches EBM and the Medical Librarian to library students and practicing librarians in the US, Canada, and other countries. Since 2001, Ms. Schardt has served as a librarian-tutor for How to Teach Evidence Based Clinical Practice, held annually at McMaster University. She is also a Co-Director of the Program on Teaching Evidence Based Practice, which has conducted an annual EBM workshop at Duke University since 2003.
