Find video streams, DVDs, VHS tapes, and audio CDs in the Library with these step-by-step methods:

Video Streams

To support teaching and research video streams are now available from the Library.

Video streams provide access to content from select offair television recordings, University of Queensland produced videos and other sources where special copyright approval exists.

Video streams are available 24/7 through the Library catalogue and are viewable by UQ staff and students with a broadband Internet connection and compatible viewing computer or mobile device equiped with the Abode Flash browser plug-in . How to find video streams:

  • To find video streams go to the Library Catalogue
  • Perform a keyword search for "Streamed content" and keywords on your topic of interest, for example: "streamed content" school
  • Browse through results and click title link to access

Try this sample keyword search to find all video streams in the library: "Streamed content"

DVDs and VHS tapes - feature films, documentaries, audio CDs

To find DVDs, VHS tapes and Audio CDs go to the Library Catalogue and do one of the following:

Keyword search

  • Perform Keyword search for your topic of interest
  • Click "Modify Search" button and limit the results to DVD/Video or Sound Record for audio CDs under the format option
  • Browse through results and click title link to access

Title search

  • Perform Title search for exact title of the feature film, documentary or audio CD you require
  • Depending on the results it may be necessary to click the "Limit / Sort" button and limit the results to DVD/Video or Sound Record for audio CDs under the format option
  • Browse through results and click title link to access
