Step 4. Finding Internet Resources
Can't I just Google?
The online video Can't I just Google?
(used with permission from LaTrobe
University Library) explains why you should not depend on Google for finding
information.
There are times you will need to use the internet for information, for example if you require government reports or statistics or information from organisations such as CSIRO. While there is a great deal of useful information on the web, remember that the internet has no overall authority. Anybody can create web sites and post information to the web so it is essential to know how to search the web for accurate and authoritative resources.
For tips on how to search the internet effectively see the "How-to guide" on Internet (web) searching.
