Looseleaf Services

Looseleaf Services

As the name suggests, looseleaf services come in folders that have "looseleafs" which are able to be removed or inserted as the law changes. They are publications used by legal practitioners who specialise in particular areas of law such as torts, family law or bankruptcy.

Looseleaf will often include:

  • legislation relevant to a particular practice area
  • recent case law
  • commentary

They are available either in print or online although the format and sometimes even the name may vary a little between the two.

How to Find Looseleaf Services

If you know the title of the looseleaf service, the easiest way to find it is to search by title in the library catalogue. If you are not sure of the title, try a keyword search with looseleaf and another keyword. For instance, searching for looseleaf immigration will locate Australian Immigration Law.
