Question
True or False? Act Number 43 of 2012 in Queensland is called the Economic Development Act 2012 (Qld)?.
See Answer
True. By browsing the Office of Queensland Parliamentary Counsel's website, and navigating to Acts as Passed, for 2012 you will find that the Economic Development Act 2012 (Qld) was numbered 43.
Legislation can be very difficult to find through the catalogue. For instance, do you search for 'acts' or 'statutes' or 'laws'? What is the name of the publishing body? The Queensland Parliament? The Office of Parliamentary Council? The Legislative Assembly? As it can be difficult to find through the catalogue, it is often easier to browse the shelves.
Queensland Acts in their original form, that is acts as passed or made, are in the Statutes/Reports section of the Law Library at KZC1910.Q435.
