The University of Queensland

Henry Finucan’s association with the University began in 1934 when he enrolled as an Arts student.

He graduated in 1937 with first class honours in Mathematics, and in 1938 was Queensland Rhodes Scholar.

After studying at Oxford University, he returned to lecture at the University.

He went on to hold the positions of Senior Lecturer and Reader in Mathematics until his death in 1983.
