Guide to manuscripts on UQ History
Fryer Library holds numerous collections of unpublished documents relating to the history of the University. While details of these collections can be discovered through the library catalogue, this guide aims to assist researchers by bringing together most of Fryer’s relevant holdings into a single list, arranged alphabetically by the name of the author or creator, with each entry providing a summary of that collection’s relevance to UQ. In the case of larger collections (those with a UQFL code), the online catalogue record will provide a link to a more detailed overview of collection contents.
This guide is not exhaustive. It excludes personal and academic papers of UQ staff which do not contain information about UQ itself. It also omits Fryer’s large political ephemera collection relating to the University. These additional resources can be identified using the catalogue.
