Biographical note

Justice Gore was Judge of the Supreme Court of Papua, 1928-1945 and Judge of the Supreme Court of Papua and New Guinea, 1945-1962.

He was called to the Queensland Bar in 1915 and between 1915 and 1916 was Associate to Sir Samuel Griffith, first Chief Justice High Court of Australia. He entered the Crown Law Department in Papua in 1924. Justice Gores book, Justice versus sorcery, is an account of his years in Papua New Guinea.
