Doubled up room booking this morning.

Hi,

Last week I made a room booking as follows:

Duhig Building - Group Rooms (No key required) - Group Study Room 03
04/09/2013 8:00am-10:00am Created: 30/08/2013 @ 02:17:17 PM

I arrived at the room this morning to find another group of people occupying it. I informed them that I had a book but they insisted that they had made one too. They showed me on their laptop that they had made a room booking for that room, and the booking was created yesterday on 03/09 from memory.

I'm just not sure how this error could have occurred. Our group had to try and relocate.

Hi Jacob. When I look at the booking that exists in the Facilities Booking System (FBS) for that room and period I see what appears to be your booking. So I don't understand what you mean by "They showed me on their laptop that they had made a room booking for that room".
What exactly did they show you ? The authoritative source for the state of a booking is what is visible in FBS.
