Book and CD Rom ID numbers

Dear Librarian,

Is it at all possible if Books with CD Roms that are borrowed out seperately to have different ID numbers? It's very inconvenient to try put a hold on a library book online, however it's not possible due to the CD Roms that came with the book being available and having the same ID number.

Our current policy is to create a separate record for CDROMs attached to books. Older material will still have them with the books. If you wish to place a hold on the book and cannot do so yourself, please contact Loans Desk staff in the library who can place the hold for you.
