Loss of Laptop Printing?
Over the Semester break the library appears to have changed/upgraded the printing systems in the library. However, in doing so, the most important feature, in my opinion, the ability to print from my laptop seems to have been lost. The old system no longer works, and the printing setup instructions list nothing about how to print from laptop's without a somewhat clumsy save to USB and print from that - not exactly ideal compared to the old system.
With the extremely heavy usage of computers in the library, being able to print from my own computer in the library or elsewhere on campus has been really good. Being without it so far has been very inconvenient already - and once the libraries start to get busier as assessment deadlines arrive, it will no doubt get even more so. Is this feature coming back, and if not, what plans does the library have on this issue?
Many Thanks,

Thank you for your feedback and your patience during this outage of the Library laptop printing system.
The Library appreciates the importance of this system and we have been working hard on an improved system to work with our new printers. This system is currently being tested and should be operational soon. We anticipate that this system will be easier to setup and to use than the previous version of laptop printing.
We apologise for the interruption to this facility and have done our best to minimise delays in this complicated process.
Please keep an eye on https://www.library.uq.edu.au/ask-it/printing for details and instructions on connecting to the new system.
We look forward to your feedback on the new system once it is operational.
Regards,
Robert
