People just keep talking in the Postgrad library

Dear Anon
Thank you for your comments. The Graduate Economics and Business Library has 2 areas - Study space with group rooms and discussion spaces and the eZone. The eZone will be a quieter area to work but you might like to consider trying some of our designated "Quiet study" spaces in our other libraries on the St Lucia campus. Level 5 of the Duhig Building has individual study desks which you may find more suitable for quiet study or Level 4 of the Social Sciences and Humanities Library, Biological Sciences Library and the Law Library have some designated "Quiet areas" which you might find better to work in. These libraries also have individual study rooms which can be booked online.

The Study Space in the Graduate Economics and Business Library is not a designated "Quiet area" it was designed to be a space where groups can go to work together. I would encourage you to approach other students if they are being unduly noisy and ask them to contain their noise, explain that you are finding it very disruptive and you are also trying to work. I am sure they would be understanding. Also you may find the Graduate Economics and Business Library eZone is a quieter space to work than the study area.

If you would like to discuss this further please get in contact with me directly,
Karen Borchardt,
