Text notifications

Hi,
It would be great if you would let us know that books we've been waiting for have arrived via a text message rather than an email. Or if you would offer us the choice of communication method. Quite often, it's not until I get home from uni that I check my email and discover that a book I was waiting for has arrived.

Thank you for contacting the library. We did trial the use of SMS delivery for library notifications a few years ago but it was decided at that time not to pursue this method of delivery.

If you have a smart phone, however, you may be able to configure Outlook to send sms notifications, of library notices, to your mobile.
