Compliant About Bio Science Library

My friend lives in St Lucia and she wishes that she could stay in bio Lib for study at night but security guy told her to leave because she is not a UQ student. I just don't understand why other students cant use the library except if the library is pretty full. What is point of not allowing Non-UQ students entering Bioscience library after 8pm? As I know, other uni like QUT does not have such a rule. why is UQ Lib not available to public even students? People come to library for study and I recommend only if people got ID they should have rights to study in the UQ Lib. I suppose the as a world-class university UQ should have such kind of tolerance.

Thank you for your feedback about studying at the the Biological Sciences Library. Library facilities are always in great demand throughout the semester and no matter how many computers, study tables and desks we supply, there is never enough for everyone. If all facilities were open to the public at all hours, the shortage of available resources would be much worse.

There are also security considerations at night and we only allow UQ patrons to use the Library study spaces at that time.
