"Express Use" computers

Is there anyway that the Library can program the computers designated as for "express use" available for "15 minutes" (especially in Social Sciences and Humanities/Duhig Building) to log a person out after that time has elapsed? People tend to use these for typing assignments, Facebook, watching lectures and movies etc. and taking them away from people who could actively and appropriately use them for searching the library catalogue, doing quick print jobs, sending emails etc. which I believe they should be available for.

We will consider your request. It should be technically possible and I agree that it is a reasonable step to take to try to ensure that the Express Use machines are kept available for their intended use.

OK... all nominated 'express' computers will now automatically logoff users after 10 minutes. Users will be warned when they have 1 minute to go. Hopefully this will improve the situation. Signage around such workstations is being amended appropriately.
