Request for new book on Teaching/Education
I am a language teacher teaching international students at ICTE, UQ. I am in the process of writing a paper for teacher professional development purposes on 'The Art of Teaching'.
I would like to obtain a copy of a new book recently published which discusses the ideas of a renowned educationist (John Dewey). The authors of this book are: D. J. Simpson, M. Jackson & J.C. Aycock. The title of this work is: "John Dewey & The Art of Teaching: Toward Reflective & Imaginitive Practice."
This book would be useful for explaining Dewey's ideas to teachers and for putting them into practice in the classroom. Is it possible for the UQ library to obtain this book? I would really like to use it for my paper.
Many thanks.
Kind regards

Dear John,
Thank you for recommending "John Dewey and the Art of Teaching" (Sage, 2005) for purchase by the Library.
Because it isn't a newly-published book, I'd like to suggest that you request a loan of this book from another Library, using UQ Library's Document Delivery service, at: http://www.library.uq.edu.au/research-support/request-document-delivery
I see that there are copies at both QUT and Griffith University libraries, so we should be able to obtain the book for you very quickly. This service is of course free-of-charge to you.
However -- if you feel that this is a book the Library should acquire for the collection, rather than borrow, please do get back to me, and I'll order a copy.
best wishes,
