Computers in the Link

I was using a computer in the Link the other day (the floor that runs between Duhig and SS&H libraries) and the desks on which the computers sit were absolutely filthy. There were ants crawling on some of the desks and there were crumbs and sticky grease and coffee marks everywhere.
It was extremely off putting. The black surface of these tables shows up marks easily - it looks like they have never been cleaned or wiped.
Not a good impression!
And the keyboards could do with a clean too. Many are filthy.

Thank you for your feedback about cleaning in the Duhig Link. The desks are scheduled to be cleaned each week night, so it is concerning that you report them to be in such a state. I have passed these comments on to the University's Cleaning Supervisor.
On a positive note, we are trialling making sanitizer wipe cloths available so that patrons can wipe down computer keyboards and screens after use. These are currently available in the Biological Sciences Library. If the trial is successful, we will extend this facility to other Library branches.
