Reserving Computers in Law Library

Hello there,

Could the library please do something about the trend of students leaving their belongings in the 24 hour student space within the law library. When the library closed I went outside and waited like everyone else; however, when the library opened I was one of the first to go on but all the computers on the first floor had peoples belongings thrown over them to 'reserve' the PC's - not one PC was available a minute after the 24 hour space opened. This is also the case with most the study spaces as well. Computers are in high demand, and it is unfair to other students (especially during exam period) to reserve terminals this way.

Could the law library please address this somehow?

Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. We advise our patrons to take their belongings with them at the closing announcements. Unfortunately, some students left their belongings at the desks and did not come back to collect their items when we close the library. Our staff will monitor this situation closely. We may consider moving personal belongings to the side to free up desk space and computers when necessary.
