Hi there,

I was wondering if we could subscribe to the Springer Neuroethics Journal (http://link.springer.com/journal/12152) as I am doing my PhD in Neuroethics and I work in Group Hall which does research in Addiction and Neuroethics (the researchers here even publish in this journal) and am not able to access relevant articles.

If this is not possible, can you please send me the link to request individual articles from Springer Neuroethics Journal?

Kind regards,
Charmaine

The keyboard on computer EZN478 in the SSH Library eZone 4 has some buttons which are not working. Keys f, v, backspace, 0 on the number keypad, and the left shift key are not working. Can you please get it repaired.

I wonder if you'd consider adding the film adaption of Harold Pinter's play "Betrayal" to the SS&H Library's DVD collection?

It's always to cold in the library - the aircon is always so high its freezing.
The cleanliness of the library isn't the best - I have noticed various stains on tables that have stayed there for weeks. All tables should be whipped over everyday. It could do with a bit more vacuuming to. Also the computer keyboards are disgusting. Over the weekend the bins are not emptied which leaves downstairs smelling pretty bad.
I have also noticed the lack of study spaces - Gatton UQ is growing I think it would be nice if there were a few more areas to study.
It would be nice if the top leave of the library "Quite individual study" would be monitored for noise regularly; it seems the library staff don't care if people are talking - or half the time it's them making the noise.

I would like to complain about the lack of access to a lift in the SS&H Library. The main lift has been out of order for a long period (months?) and today when I was in the SS&H Library the staff lift was unavailable. I have a workplace injury to my knees and problem with my feet which means I am unsteady and have to go up and down stairs two feet at a time on each step. I could easily fall and it would be very costly to UQ. I am not the only person with an access issue. I believe that it is obligatory to provide proper access to buildings. Can I please have some assurance in writing that the lift will be fixed quickly or I will escalate this up UQ as far as I can go. It is simple not good enough and it may cause an accident. I will immediately raise the issue withe the Arts OH&S Committee.

Dear Sir/Madam,

As part of my doctoral thesis, I am utilising a number of newspaper articles. As I am sure you are aware, the online newspapers have now commenced their subscription-only access. Accordingly, I am no longer able to access the information I need either directly from the newspaper websites, or via, eg, worldnewspapers.com. Noting that the library maintains a link to this website, does the university in fact subscribe to the newspapers it manages? If so, would you please advise as to the username and password required to access it? Alternatively, would you please advise if the university intends to allow access to online newspapers in the near future?

Many thanks for your kind assistance.

Regards,
Ruth
