Hi there,
I was hoping that the library would be able to acquire electronic access to a new journal, Critical Studies on Security. I know that a lot of colleagues in the School of Political Science and International Studies in particular will benefit from access to this journal.

Thank you in advance.

Is it possible for the librarians of various libraries to make routine checks at the quiet study areas to ensure that people are not making excessive amount of noise?

Thank you.

The quality of Journal of General Management articles downloaded via Business Source Complete at Ebsco is extremely unacceptable!! Please check out the articles of the latest issue, e.g. Winter2012, Vol. 38 Issue 2, p79-99. The diagram on p.93 is completely unreadable.

Hi, I'm attempting to use a cd from the UQ library "The Art and Science of Cardiac Physical Examination", but it does not allow it to work on the UQ computers due to library computer settings. In my opinion it is counterintuitive and counterproductive to have library cds that do not work on library computers.

Regards,
Jeremy

Dear SSAH Library,

I have another suggestion for a book purchase
http://www.amazon.com/Ethnicity-Steve-Fenton/dp/0745642667/ref=tmm_pap_t...

I have a copy of this book and will include a chapter in a course reader for students studying Ethnic Conflict and Nationalism. I think the students would benefit from having a copy of this updated edition of the book in the library also.

Many thanks
Susan Giblin.

Good Morning,

I've found the English version of "Caxin" enormously useful for researching contemporary Chinese economics, finance and politics. Alas, from May, it went behind a paywall, but at a fairly modest price of US$29/year for a single use licence.

Alas, there is no guidance on what a group subscription might cost:

http://shop.caixin.com/index.php?app=store&id=664033

"Corporate Subscriptions: Thinking of getting a Caixin subscription for your organization? Contact our sales office at ebulksubs@caixin.com to get a custom subscription bundle for your company or university today."

I might add that a POLSIS colleague, Dr Feng, has endorsed this sentiment:

Any consideration you could give this request would be much appreciated. Meantime, I'll purchase my own subscription for one year...

Kind Regards
Simon

Hi,
I am having problems getting access to Ebooks for download.
The link to Adobe Digital Editions is not working.
Since the library is getting most of the new titles, in e-books format (for reasons I can't possibly fathom), it would seem reasonable to facilitate access to the basic software for reading these books.
Could you please help with this?
Yours truly,
Carles
