I want to recommend few purchases which are listed as follows;

1. Title: Microwave engineering / David M. Pozar.TK7876. Call number: P69 2005

2. Title: Microwave transistor amplifiers : analysis and design / Guillermo Gonzalez. Call number: TK7871.2 .G59 1997

These two books are highly referenced by the lecturer, Dr Bassem Henin, in his lectures. There are 12 students enrolled in the class. There are only 5 copies of 1st book in the library and all are issued already. Moreover, there is only 1 copy of 2nd book in the library. The assessment of the course ''Advanced Microwave Circuit Design'' is only based on assignments and there is no examination for the course in the end. Therefore, these books are very importance to be purchased soon.

I would be grateful if these books are available in the library as soon as possible.

Disappointed to be in the library today - level 2 checkout at about 1:15 to hear a staff member conducting a library tour explaining that 'lecturers are busy people and that translates to lazy so they just reuse exam papers'. As I lecturer I worked from 6:00am to 12:30 am ( yes.. In the morning) on Wednesday and was back in at 7:30am today, and these hours were not unusual. I do not appreciate being tarred with lazy. I was absolutely furious but had more professional respect than to dress her down in front of her tour group. I would appreciate courtesy towards my work principles in future. For the record, yes we are busy..but that does not translate to lazy. In case she was wondering, I have never assigned an examination at all because I don't believe they reflect knowledge development adequately in my field.

Hi, just wondering if there is a problem with UpToDate? I seem to be unable to access it, and it takes me to a second login link which doesn't work. I'm a fourth year medical student who uses UpToDate quite a bit and was just wondering if you knew what was going on.

Cheers.

Hi,

The changes that you have made to the legal research guide are nonsensical. I'm sure that a lot of time and consideration went in to them to make the process easier for students, but it has simply done the opposite.

There should be an option to simply list all of the databases available to use, so one can work through them when doing research. I know dividing them into categories may seem like you're doing us a favour but you are not, and if there is a place on the website where all of the databases can be directly accessed, it is not easy enough to find to be of any use.

Thanks.

Hi there,
Just a quick note to let you know that I think the label for the UN Millennium development goals is incorrect.

The link you click on the www.library.uq.edu/mbbs website is labelled UN "Medical" Development goals. The "Medical" is meant to be "Millennium". An easy mistake to make no doubt considering you are on the medical library page. :)
That's all. Have a good day!

Hello,

I would like to recommend the following book which was reviewed in the January 2013 edition of Museums Journal and sounded relevant to my research:

Museum Bodies
The Politics and Practices of Visiting and Viewing
