The below book would be extremely useful to my PhD thesis where I am looking at the evolution of the scrotum amongst other things. This book has been referenced in the vast majority of papers I have been researching and therefore it would be useful for me to be able to read the primary source.

Portman, A.
1952
Animal Forms and Patterns
New York
Schocken

Kind Regards

Hi,

I refer to the following book:

The SAGE handbook of organizational institutionalism Full Text Online by Greenwood, Royston 2008, ISBN 1412931231 Organization, Social institutions eBook:Full Text Online
Book: DUE 11-10-12 +1 RECALLED, SSAH - HM791 .S24 2008 • DUE 11-10-12 +1 RECALLED, SSAH - HM791 .S24 2008

I have the paper book from the UQ Library, which is a recalled material with 7 days overdue. The reason because I still have it is because I'm doing a PhD and at this moment I'm developing my literature review. Then, this book in central for my thesis. However, and as you see above the book is supposed to be on line. But i have not been able to access to this book on line. I visited the Library about 10 days ago and the attender had submitted a request to fix it as she also could not access to this book.

I will be overseas and need to continue my work when I'm away. While I don't take the paper book with me, could you please fixt this problem ASAP?

Many thanks.

Maria

Hi there,
I'd like for the library to resubscribe to the IWA Journal, "Water Science and Technology: Water Supply".

It is a great journal, and it was sad to see that it is no longer subscribed to by the Library.

Please acquire Sutton, D.F. Seneca on the Stage. Leiden: E.J. Brill, 1986 for use in DRAM2090: Greek and Roman Theatre. Also, there should only be one author entry for Dana F. Sutton, whose 5 publications are currently spread over two author entries.
Thanks

Dear library,

My daily Google Scholar alerts have just brought this book to my attention, which could scarcely be more relevant to my PhD research. I also know of several other students and academics who would likely find it useful. I would like to enthusiastically request that the library purchases it.

Many thanks, for your consideration.

It has come to that time of the year where everyone needs a space at the library to do some study or assignments. The problem is that while there might not be sufficient computers around, some students hog spaces by leaving their belongings at seats while going off to attend classes, or to have a 1 hour long lunch break. This often deprives others of who are looking for a computer either to print off notes quickly, or to use.

A couple of years back the library began pasting up signs to gently remind students not to hog seats and leave them unattended. This also allows other students looking for seats to realise that it is not right that these 'hoggers' leave their belongings and go. If the library could encourage that again, and perhaps leave boxes on each floor near each computer space where people can put the belongings of 'hoggers' into the box to discourage this sort of behaviour. The use of storage boxes is something used in tertiary libraries in other countries that experience similar problems (but to a worse extent)

But through my four years at UQ, the library has always been a pleasant place to be in!

Hi,

I noted that use of the scanner at the libraries still charge students for each page scanned. I think that should be made free since it is an inbuilt function of the all-in-one machines and there are no consumables use in the process.

thanks.

Hi there, my name is Alison Taylor and I'm a PhD student in EMSAH working on disturbing European cinema. I've found a book online that looks incredibly useful, several of the chapters cover films I'm working on. I can access it through amazon preview but not all the pages I need are available. Hoping the library might be able to order a copy?
It's called "Rape in Art Cinema" ed. Dominique Russell.

Amazon is selling it cheaper than continuum. I usually just buy my own books but I've very little income at the moment.
No worries if you can't get it, but would be great if you could,
Thanks for any help,
Alison
