"Sacred Strategies: Transforming Synagogues from Functional to Visionary" by Isa Aron, Steven M. Cohen, Lawrence A. Hoffman, Ari Y. Kelman. Alban Press, 2010. 978-1-56699-401-9.

There is one other copy in another Australian library, but this ties in exactly with my thesis theoretical work and would be good to have long term, it's only about $20 US. Congregational modelling is an area researched across studies of religion and this would be useful for other interfaith research too.

Hi there,

The 1st floor of the refurbished Michie Building is a very conducive place for self study. However, the area closes after 10pm every evening and it is also closed on weekends and public holiday.

It would be good if the area could be managed as a 24/7 study area for the benefit of all staff and students.

Cheers

Hi there,

The space behind the security desks in the BSL is not being used optimally. Printers in that area can be relocated/ removed to create a study lounge to increase the holding capacity of the BSL during peak periods.

The open area outside Burger Urge and Darwins could be be upgraded and used as a study area with the provision of additional electrical points and better lighting.

Hi there,

The BSL and other libraries with extended opening hours are very packed during the examination periods. This problem gets worse during the night when many braches of UQ Library is shut for the day.

Would it be possible for UQ Library to provide additional study areas during the examination period by extending the closing hours of some library or providing additional self study areas??

Cheers

Hi there,

Air Travel Report - December 2011 by Roy Morgan would be very useful for Buisness/ Tourism research students.

Would appreciate it if UQ Library could purchase the report.

Thank you.

Hi,

I would just like to suggest a purchase for the library. I believe it is released towards the end of this week.

I greatly value the opportunity to use the lockers however my course and the libraries use policy seem to be out of sync.

I am enrolled in a DipEd and I have lecture block from 25/06/2012 through to the 27/07/2012.

I have returned my key and, as I understand it, a locker key from a ballot will not be available until the 30/07/2012.

Could I please extend my loan on the locker so that it corresponds with my block of lectures? I imagine they are mostly empty.

cheers

Damien

I just wanted to say that the security officer at the Biological Sciences library is doing a wonderful job. I think his name is Michael?

Greetings,

I am coordinating the UQ Early-Career Academic Development Program. I would like to request that the library obtain an “ebook” copy of “Managing Your Academic Career: Strategies for Success” by David Royce Sadler (1999), Allen & Unwin, ISBN 1864489847, 9781864489842. The ebook will be used as a support resource by the (40) participants within the program.

Many thanks,
Alistair

Is there a plan to gain full online access to ChemSusChem from Wiley? It is a high impact journal to which UQ has access to issues up until the end of 2009.
