There should be more online resources. Often the books I need are out, this problem would go away if more things were online.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am a first year bachelor of music student majoring in euphonium performance. UQ's music library only has one piece written for the euphonium. The lack of music available to me at the library is of great inconvenience to my study and I would like to request that the library purchase any or all of the following pieces: Concierto Ibérico - Tim Jansa Lyric Suite - Donald White A Walk in the Woods - Jiro Censhu Child's Choice - Eric Wilson Peace - John Golland Prelude - Yasuhide Ito Mazurka - Nicholas Falcone Cloud Dancing - Dean McGain-Harding Nessun Dorma - Puccini arr. Frey Shapes of the Morning - David Morgan Romance for Euphonium - Noah Taylor Concertino for Euphonium - Rolf Wilhelm Jubilee - David Gaines Concerto for Euphonium - Philip Wilby Concerto for Euphonium - William Brusick Euphonium Concerto - Martin Ellerby Summer Isles - Philip Sparke A Walk in the Park - Gareth Williams Kind regards, Liam

I would like to convey my disappointment in your apparent change in rules regarding books on the hold shelf. After coming into the library, after a one hour trip, specifically for the purpose of photocopying the pages I will require within the next month for my honours level course work, I was denied access to the book. Fair enough that another has requested the book. Since they clearly have not taken it yet, the book, that i need for a whole of five minutes is sitting on the shelf, not being used and yet I still was not allowed access. I was turned away with an explanation that the library has changed its policies. I would like to then convey that the change is nonsense from my perspective, and what is more, down right frustrating. It was suggested that I request the book, before the borrower has even had a chance with the book. This will mean that they have to return the book much earlier than expected all for something that i could have taken care of whilst the book was in transition. I wonder why, if you have changed the rules that a.) you have not made these apparent and b.) why the system would recognise the book to be 'on hold' at all- instead of borrowed?

My friend and I made a trip to the ASK-IT desk after being directed by one of the librarians at Dorothy Hill Library to borrow a laptop from ASK-IT, only to find out that laptops are not being loaned anymore. This is very inconvenient for students as some of us need to watch confidential videos in preparation for exams that require us to watch them in group rooms. It's very frustrating how none of the computers in the group rooms (save the few multimedia viewing rooms in SS&H library) don't have DVD players! Please bring back laptop loans!

The Library currently only has 1 version of the element at Gatton and on hold. I think there should be more copies of this book and his other book out of our minds (which the library doesn't have any copies of). My education subject has an assignment topic which these texts would be very useful for. My classmate has got hold of one from another library. Robinson, Ken, 1950- Title The element : how finding your passion changes everything / Ken Robinson ; with Lou Aronica. Publication Details New York : Viking Penguin, 2009. Robinson, Ken, 1950- Title Out of our minds : learning to be creative / Ken Robinson. Publication Details Oxford : Capstone ; [New York] : John Wiley, c2001.

Dear Sir/Madam, I would just like to know if you can suggest any places to study at apart from at the Engineering library, as today (for the first time in about 2 years) I wasn't able to find a single free table to work at (which seems to me to be because some of them have been removed), so if you are able to advise me on alternate places to study that are close to the engineering library if possible I would be very grateful. Regards, Robert
