Hi,

I am a phd student in the school of psychology, and running multilevel statistics. I've been trying to get a hold of these books but they are not help at UQ library. I've spoken with my supervisor and she says that I can enquire about UQ purchasing these textbooks:

Byrne (2012..a few months ago at the end of last year they were saying it was coming out, so hopefully its out)

http://www.psypress.com/sem-with-mplus/contents/

Hancock & Mueller (2006)

http://books.google.com.au/books?id=CCBt4Ipugw8C&printsec=frontcover&dq=...

Hox and Roberts (2011)

http://books.google.com.au/books?id=JlhySkysflUC&pg=PA97&dq=structural+e...

I know a few people who also are doing similar statistics, and these books would be beneficial to have in the library. Can you advise me on how best to proceed with having access (either in hard copy or as an ebook)? My email address is jennylia@psy.uq.edu.au
Thankyou.
cheers, Jenny.

Hi,

Just a quick question: do disposable coffee cups go in the recycling or general waste bins?

Dear UQ Library,

I would like to recommend Structural Biology of the Complement System (Online ISBN: 978-0-8493-5036-8, Print ISBN: 978-0-8247-2540-2) as a valuable addition to the organisation's collection of scholarly resources.

I would recommend this book as this publication will be referenced frequently for new research articles related to my work. Also this book contains a CD, consisting of important figures unique to this book, which would greatly benefit the current UQ collection

Many thanks,
Charlie

Hello there,

2011 French film "Untouchable" (original title "Intouchables") directed by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano would be a very welcome addition to the French section of the Library!

Thank you,
Marielle - FREN1010 tutor.

Current we do not have electronic access to the latest issues of the Journal of the American Statistical Association. In view of the importance of this journal, I suggest the library review our current subscription and, if possible, consider upgrading it.

Dear library staff,

Can you please purchase this newly published book, for use in the course Designing Sustainable Systems (ENVM7527). I think two copies would be ideal, as the new coordinator will wish to read it, it is prescribed for all students (n=10) and one student will need to do an assignment on it.

Leveson, N. 2011, Engineering a safer world: Systems thinking applied to safety, The MIT Press, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Thanks.

After a year of struggling with 'summon' and disliking it, I have finally learned to use it effectively and it's great! I'd like to say a big thank you to the library for providing this. It has been extremely useful in my final year research so far and I have been using the summon feature much more than the catalog feature. I think the library is finally becoming a true cybrary. Thank you and well done!

Thank you for this wonderful service! I am lucky enough to have gotten a locker for this semester and it will be so great to have a base camp while on campus.

I like to recommend this text as a helpful tool to assist Master musculoskeletal students in developing advanced knowledge in manual therapy.

Combined Movement Theory - Rational Mobilization and Manipulation of the Vertebral Column - By Christopher McCarthy, PhD, MCSP, MMACP

This book expands on the widely used concept of combined movements and incorporates both grade IV- manipulative thrust techniques and muscle energy / proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation techniques. The book is the first to include chapters on cervical artery dysfunction (VBI) and upper cervical instability with clinical chapters on the regional management of spinal dysfunction. The first section of the book discusses the underlying theoretical concepts underpinning combined movements theory and manipulation, with the second section offering a comprehensive manual of tests and treatments for each region of the spine. Revision multiple choice tests are at the ends of the theoretical chapters.

Thanks for consideration.
