Since the upgrade to the new format, PsycInfo has a lot of new problems. I am experienced user of PsycInfo and understood all its previous quirks, however it now seems to have new technical difficulties which need to be reported and fixed asap.

I am very grateful to the Librarian today who helped me access and export references from PsycInfo, that would not work when using a normal route. Below are a list of issues that I am experiencing

- When creating a MyResearch account to save searches and articles, it continuously throws me off the database. An error message will come up saying "Your session has ended" and therefore nothing has saved.

- Using the "Cite This" link to get a list of references leads to the references having random letters and numbers throughout the entire list. The only way to get around this is to use EndNote and then save the format through there.

- The above problem occurs if 'Cite This' even works, but on most occassions I get an error message saying "There was a problem with QuickBib" and no amount of trying gets rid of this.

- Using the old PsycInfo, you were able to select all articles that fall under your search parameter. For example - when searing for prejudice, I was able to select all 300 articles and create a reference list. Now, you can only select 100 articles at a time and then combine the lists.

I understand that this is not UQ's fault, as this is just a change from the vendor, but I cannot find anywhere to report problems with the database, or have someone let me know when they can be fixed. I sincerely hope that these above errors can be reported and have the issues resolved.

Better yet, bring back the old format. Nothing was wrong with it :)

has the library thought about having an interactive library. This would
involve use of audio visual and interactive displays?

I'm sitting in on the fourth floor of the SSH library in what is meant to
be a quiet zone, adjacent to the stairwell. For the past 15 minutes two people
have been carrying on a conversation in the stairwell seemingly oblivious to
their own noise level. The sound of this conversation obviously carries into the
study area. What is your policy on ensuring people respect quiet zones? Do the
open stairwells not count? Do s

I am having trouble writing my thesis and formatting references using
Endnote. I hope UQ Library considers lodging a complaint against this software - I keep getting COM error when I try to format my references (Word Mac 2008/Endnote X4), and it is going to wreck all my references! Why is UQ paying big $$ for this software?!
