I think the locker system in the individual study rooms is painful. The key system was easier and more efficient. I spent ages trying to work out how to open the locker and it is annoying having to remember to put valuables into the locker every time you leave. I really don't see the point at all.

Facebook should be banned during uni hours. Students hog computers during this time and prevent people who are actually desperate for a computer to do work.

I would like to suggest the addition of more power points in the open plan group study area downstairs in the Gatton Library. With the recent addition of the Vet School this area is very busy and most students have their own laptops which they use in this area. This results in considerable competition for power points of laptop power. In most cases there are currently two double power points for every two to three ta

What happened to being able to scan without a USB stick? I was told that the only way I can now scan is if I have one, and furthermore, that they don't lend any USB sticks out... so I can't scan in my document until I buy a USB. They said I should buy one for $10 or pay $2.40 to scan at another location.. but I am a student with $25 to my name. Why can't I scan to email, or to my H drive like the old days?

"The Politics of Media Policy" 2008 by Des Freedman is about a book about contemporary change in media policy. Unfortunately UQ library doesn't have this book on the shelves while other university libraries do. This book would be extremely useful for media, communication and journalism students. I strongly recommend that it be ordered in asap.

In libraries of the UQ, some students often occupy the computers by placing their belongings or stuffs in front of the work station. Sometime, they leave the computers idle for one hour or more without doing anything or going out for other works. Meanwhile, other student cannot access to workstation for their study purpose because the computers have been occupied. I would like to suggest that each work station should

Summon Feedback: Your new search engine is extremely frustrating to use. Why cant you feature prominently a menu where you can choose the online resource, journal, etc that you want to browse through.. In this case I would search resources - type in up-tp-date and a list of only resources called up-to-date would appear. From this list I would click on the one I am looking for and I would go to a login page, then an up-to-date title page with a brief description of the Journal/database/book and an ability to search within. Your old cybrary site used to do this - there was an alphabetical listing of all journal/database titles. You click on the link and away you go. Why did you remove this? Or is it just hidden where I cant see it?
