I would like to acknowledge and commend the work which has gone into the Library Staff Reunion. From observation a great deal of work, time and dedication has gone into this project and as I understand staff from the 1950's will be attending. For those involved a great job in getting this off the ground and good luck with the celebrations!

What is the process which ensures efficient and fair use of library computers? Currently, at 9.10am today, approx a third of the computers have books/papers in front of them but no person, or the person is asleep. Meanwhile people are waiting to use computers. This is a complete waste of resources at a vital time... I have yet to see a librarian monitoring this.Perhaps there can be signs put up explaining that

can the default mode for the new, large, flat-screens that are on the walls downstairs in the SSH (the ones that you can hook your laptop into) be changed from on to off? They seem to be rarely in use and they're highly distracting if you're studying in one of the adjacent tables. Plus, I imagine they use up a lot of energy... thanks :)
